Lynx current development

We are currently working on Lynx 2.9.4.

Current Version

A release of Lynx and pointers to Lynx for DOS386+ and Win32 were available for several locations:

Win32 Installers: Windows installers for the most recent release and for current development.

You can usually use your systems' port or package system:

NetBSD: Packages: includes ssl, NLS and IPV6 support
FreeBSD: Ports for lynx: includes Japanese and ssl flavours
OpenBSD: From 1998 to late-2014 (see discussion), OpenBSD provided an older version in the base system, with no port (for newer releases).
Since then, OpenBSD has provided an up-to-date port.
macOS: MacPorts; Lynxlet

Lynx supports multiple languages through use of gettext:

The translation project's page for Lynx summarizes the versions of the message catalogs which have been used.
Message catalogs from the translation project are bundled in the source distribution's po directory.
The About NLS page gives some historical information from when Lynx first started using these catalogs.
